Making of “The Last Train” Short Film
A Behind the Scenes look at the Making of “The Last Train”, an Animated Short Movie that was made as part of The Animation Hub.
The Animation Hub, a collaboration between staff and students of the Irish School of Animation (ISA) at Ballyfermot College of Further Education (BCFE), staff and students of Trinity College’s Graphics, Vision and Visualisation Group (GV2) and the recently established animation studio Giant Creative (giant.ie), set up by BCFE graduates.
The Animation Hub, which received support from the Irish Film Board and Science Foundation Ireland, ran for 3 months over the Summer in 2011 and involved Giant Creative working with Animation and Computer Science students to create a one minute animated short fusing Motion Capture techniques with naturalistic 3D Character Animation..

Making of Gulp
Gulp is a Short Stop Motion Animation Film created by Sumo Science at Aardman, depicting a Fisherman going about his daily catch. Shot on location at Pendine Beach in South Wales, every frame of this Stop Motion Animation was shot using a Nokia N8, with its 12 Megapixel Camera and Carl Zeiss optics. The Film has broken a world record for the ‘Largest Stop Motion Animation Set’, with the largest scene stretching over 11,000 square feet.
